Jewellery Care Guide

Silver Care -

It is recommended that when you are not wearing your jewellery you store it in the box or bag it came in. This will limit the air and humidity exposure that could tarnish any silver or plating.

Please keep jewellery out of contact with bleaches, cleaning products, and other chemicals as this too may cause damage.

Over time silver can dull, but not to worry! Simply using either silver polish and a cloth or my favourite, tin foil and white vinegar will bring the shine back in no time.

Crystal Care -

Every crystal has a unique metaphysical structure and density. Geologists refer to the 'Mohs hardness scale' when determining the hardness of a particular crystal. Some crystals have a soft density and do not 'like' water as a result. Please avoid contact with water with any of the following crystals:

Angelite, Celestite, Malachite, Calcite, Opal, Turquiose, and Selenite.

Whilst that is not an exhaustive list, it is a list of crystals that could dissolve in water. Hematite has iron in its structure so if that meets water it may rust.

It is also not recommended to place Malachite in water as in its raw form it is toxic to human beings. The Malachite you'll buy as a tumbled stone has been given a protective barrier to make it perfectly safe to use and benefit from its many healing properties.

Crystals are living beings. They absorb and emit energy. This means that from time to time you may have to cleanse them. Often you'll be able to tell if a crystal needs cleansing because it may appear duller than usual. Some methods of cleansing are moonlight (placing crystals on a window sill or outside during a full moon), sunlight, and sound frequency (tibetan singing bowls).

Crystals that will never need cleansing are citrine and clear quartz, and these particular crystals can actually be placed on or beside others to cleanse and amplify their energies.
